Corporate Governance

The Board of Directors of Koperasi Global Halal Berhad (KGHB) underscores their commitment to responsible corporate governance practices, professionalism, and high integrity in safeguarding and enhancing the interests and performance of KGHB and its subsidiaries (the Group).


In its efforts to strengthen corporate governance, the Board of Directors is committed to ensuring that good governance practices are implemented and adhered to throughout the Group. This is done within the framework established by the principles and recommendations outlined in GP27: Guidelines on Cooperative Governance issued by the Malaysian Cooperative Commission, as well as in accordance with the guidelines set by Bank Negara Malaysia and the requirements of the Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards.

Coorperative Governance Code

The Malaysian Cooperative Commission, an agency under the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives, and Consumerism (KPDNKK), issued GP27: Guidelines on Cooperative Governance on April 8, 2015. These guidelines establish the fundamental principles of governance that must be adhered to by cooperatives, and serve as a reference for the minimum standards and specific governance requirements that each cooperative should follow.

 

These guidelines cover best practices in industry governance and aim to assist the Board of Directors and management of cooperatives in fulfilling their roles more effectively. They are designed to help all cooperatives evaluate and enhance their governance standards.
